“Of My God” was the FSU undergraduate thesis film co-written and co-directed by myself and close friend,  Wilson G. Tang. It went on to play in several international film festivals and was the start of my professional filmmaking career.

Cherng and his mother connect for the first time since his father’s death.

Cherng is forced to grow up faster than he’s ready for after witnessing the death of his father. He struggles between desiring the joys of childhood and facing the responsibility that he now holds as the eldest son in a broken household. But as he looks back on those years after his father’s death, he realizes the true strength and example his mother showed in the choices she made for the family. It is through the actions of his mother and her willingness to sacrifice for Cherng and his brother that Cherng learns the true meaning of love and responsibility.
